Mr. Jean Claude Ngwba

Mr. Jean Claude NGWBA is the current Chief Executive Officer of the Central African Securities Stock Exchange (BVMAC).

Prior to his appointment, Mr Jean Claude was the Chairman of Cameroon Financial Markets Commission (CMF) Appointed by Presidential Decree a position he held from August 2016 to May 2019. During his tenure at CMF he restored Cameroonian Financial Markets to competitive status, strengthened regional and international markets co-operation with Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) countries and oversaw the financing of economic activities through public and private bond loans.

From January 2006 to December 2015, Mr. Jean Claude served as the General Secretary of Inter-African Conference on Insurance Markets (CIMA), where he oversaw, supervised and regulated insurance markets and micro-finance sectors through the 14 countries members of CIMA, promoted and improved insurance markets, implemented and enforced sanctions against organizations that breached code of conduct for CIMA and created reforms to implement strong protection of insured individuals and business through the creation of proper channel of payment through Micro-finance institutions.

From 2002 to 2005, he served as the Director of Economic Controls and international Finances- Republic of Cameroon Ministry of Finance and Budget.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Financial Supervisor and Treasury from the National School of Administration and Magistry (ENAM)- Yaounde, Cameroon and a Masters in Economics (Analysis and Economic Policy) from the University of Yaounde.

Mr. Jean Claude is also a member of various professional bodies and has attended various courses and forums worldwide.
