ASEA’s Membership is composed of Exchanges and market infrastructures within the African continent as well as entities affiliated with the growth and development of the African Capital Market. The Members are able to interact among themselves in a bid to exchange information and share experiences and best practices. The total membership count stands at 32 members made up of: 26 Full Members and Associate Members.
The membership of the Association is open to any securities exchange or nascent stock exchange located in the African region. There are three categories of members, namely:
Full member – Open to recognized, regulated and supervised Exchanges and Financial Market Infrastructures operating in Africa
Associate member –Open to national or international institutions, organizations or associations in the service of the capital market or financial industry, whose main objective is the provision of market, regulatory, technical, educational and expert services of any specialized nature to the African capital market or financial industry, that identify with the Association’s objectives, and wish to participate or assist in any constructive way in furthering the objectives of the Association.
