BVMAC is a public limited company with a Board of Directors with a share capital of 6 842 900 000 CFA francs divided between public companies (47.15%) and private companies (52.85%). Born from the will of the six (6) CEMAC States, the Central African Stock Exchange (BVMAC) becomes a common and unique capital market for the six countries (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon) in application of the decision taken by the Conference of Heads of State of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) on 31 October 2017, to unify the CEMAC financial market. July 4, 2019 marks the merger absorption of the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX) by BVMAC.
