Holder of a Master Degree in Economics from the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) and a Diplomat (DESS) from the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) of the University of Bordeaux I – France, Pierre Ekoule Mouangue has been leading of the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX) in Cameroon as the Managing Director since July 2005.

From that time, he has been overseeing the evolution of the Douala Stock Exchange (DSX). He made it operational and has successively supervised Public bonds issued by the states of Cameroon and Chad in view of financing their development projects.

For the past years, he has been taking part in discussions concerning policies of financing the economy in Cameroon and in the CEMAC sub-region and has been attending meetings of Finance Ministers from the CFA franc zone in his capacity as expert advisor.

Before joining the Douala Stock Exchange, Pierre Ekoule Mouangue was involved in the restructuring of the Cameroonian banking sector. Member of the Executive Committee of Standard Chartered Bank Cameroun SA. from 1992 to 2005, he was successively head of Human Resources, Company Secretary and Executive Director-Deputy Managing Director responsible for retail banking. He participated in 2000 in the Collective Agreement for Banks and Credit Establishments following the new Labour Code of 1994 by negotiating with private and public partners.

He started his career in Human Resources Management in 1988 and set up the Professional Training Centre of Brasseries du Cameroun in Douala as head of this Department at Brasseries du Cameroun. During the period from 1990 to 1992, as the Human Resources Director of Meriadian-BIAO, he was a key member of the had doc team in charge of merging the two banks.

Pierre Ekoule Mouangue is Knight of the National Order of Value and Officer of the National Order of Merit of Cameroon.
